We have been together for 3 months and are very happy.

Alan: One day along comes FunnyGail who I knew was real and I fell hard for her smile. Her emails were truly funny and I enjoyed our back-and-forth conversations. Then came the big day: she agreed to meet me. When she finally got there we both had something for each other, a small bag of leaves which was pursuant to one of our conversations. The coffee was good but the conversation was way better. We talked for hours and then went went for lunch where we talked for-you guessed it-hours. The restaurant closed around us otherwise we'd still be there. Okay, let's skip ahead; I was moving and traveling a lot for work so we kept up an email exchange. I kicked myself for having been such a moving target and not following up with a second date. After she disolved another relationship in the interim, we decided to meet for coffee or lunch as friends but I changed the venue to a play. When we met before the play; the two friends hugged and I knew I was in trouble. During the play our legs touched, I could smell her perfume and all I wanted to do was touch her hand and hold it. We left the play and wandered but eventually decided to have dinner at a really noisy Israeli restaurant. When I dropped her off I got a hug which went right through me and Funny held it far too long to be a friend. But I was a good boy and didn't do anything else even though I really wanted to kiss her beautiful lips. A few days went by and I had to deal with a family illness that saddened me. Funny offered to hang out with me for a martini and some company which I gratefully accepted. She even agreed to a Mexican restaurant (her least favourite food) where we decided to switch to Margaritas. When we had to leave I got another long hug that changed to kisses which haven't stopped since and I hope they never do. Thanks to the Cafe I have found my Funny and I am a very happy, very lucky boy.

Golda: After having had a profile on another Jewish dating site, I learnt of JewishCafe.com and decided to give it a try. What is different about your site and very welcoming is your "essay" questions which enables one to learn more about an individual before meeting them. When I read "Heavyduti's" profile, especially how he had responded to the essay questions, I sensed a goodness in him and I was intrigued. I decided to write to him and was quite pleased when he responded! Automatically and without any hesitation whatsoever our emails were really long, funny and took on quite a fun banter. Time also revealed that we had much in common. He made me laugh continually which was the best feeling. Heavyduti (finally) asked me out by saying, "I would like to see that smile sometime in person." A meeting/date at Starbuck's was arranged and I had a lot of fun deciding and choosing the leaves I would bring him, which was pursuant to one of our earlier conversations. He brought me leaves and a small baby pumpkin to decorate (stick pins in or throw at him!) and play with. Our conversation was very easy, funny and we learnt that we had much more in common than we had known (and this continues still). He sent me an email two days later thanking me and revealed his feelings and insights from our conversation on Saturday. His email touched my heart and I was blown away by his words and his insight. As Heavyduti describes above, I did meet someone else and did not want to mislead him but I was quite hesitant and had much in trepidation to end our dating. As it turned out, a few weeks later I learnt that I indeed had chosen the wrong bachelor and was so thankful and grateful that Heavyduti wanted to be there for me, to lean on, talk to and be my friend. He really did help to get me my "funny" back! I was quite liking the man I was getting to know. I will never forget our first kiss in a Mexican restaurant as I had been fantisizing about kissing him and wanting him to do so, already, but I was also very appreciative of his respect for me. I was getting concerned and wondered if he may only want to be friends and worried I had blown my chance with Heavyduti. Thankfully and very happily, I was very wrong! Heavyduti and I are both really happy and feeling like teenagers again -- but way better this time! I was beginning to lose faith that I would not find the man I really wanted to be with. Thank you JewishCafe.com, as I have now found him.

Before I signed up to JewishCafe.com, I never believed in finding love on the internet. I finally wanted to meet a decent Jewish man. After being online a couple of days, I almost gave up again. But then there was one guy, who caught my attention, Daniel from Vienna (I'm from Cologne, Germany). We started to chat but at first I didn't think of it more than as a friendship. A week later he got tickets to Cologne. When he visited me in December 2006 for the first time, I was very anxious. But after our first night and a kiss, I realized how much fun this guy was. How's this for a romantic story! I read Eva's profile (Evicka373 in JewishCafe.com) which was all in German. She can't speak a word of English but I can speak German. Her profile stated that she had more or less given up on finding a suitable Jewish partner with whom she could communicate. Also, in her profile she said that Vienna is her favourite city and guess what - it's my favourite as well! So we agreed to meet for the first time in Vienna just outside the Staatsoper (State Opera) at 11am on a cold winter's morning in early January 2006 - that's where all dating couples meet in Vienna. We then went straight to the Cafe Mozart (see attached photos) for a warm drink and a slice of the customary Sachertorte with whipped cream. Then we had a stroll around the beautiful city arm-in-arm as if we had known each other for years. I proposed to her in the Cafe Schwarzenberg and she accepted there and then. We will marry this coming autumn in Vienna and we will live there. All at JewishCafe.com are invited since it's all your fault! :-)
